I've been told a standard classic with a td05 can be mapped to 350ish but normally leave it at around 330 to be safe mate but I'm guessing with a forged re-build you can expect higher but a fmic will be needed, and plz don't forget your brakes,

get aftermarket panel filter
decat
phase 1.5/2 sti tmic,no need for a fmic unless over 400, but everyones to their own. But you'll see bigger gains with tmic under 400bhp
and id say 310-330 max, the td05 could take about 350 as stated but to be safe id aim below
and then ofcourse a map on ur esl daughter board, brakes and if needed, a new clutch plate or all of it will be for nothing bud. hope thats a bit of help

Stick with 300 on a nice smooth 1.2 bar max map, unless you have money for gearboxes less is more

With those mods you should see 320 to 330 bhp given the use of decent fuel and that should not cause you any problems. If the clutch is original/oem that might play up.

Mechanically the engine could take 380 to 400 bhp with the right supporting mods on the car, the box will run with that, its torque that hurts the box not power at the top end and so the torque delivery needs to be progressive not a big '******" iyswim.

But your mapper should be au fai with all of that in any case.

cheers

bob
