I have a 2002 WRX, i have just fitted a decat exhaust system to it.. i did not get an engine management light come on for about 150-200 miles, it came on yesterday but it hasnt made a difference to power or anything else ive noticed..

is this normal?

yes perfectly normal. the mapper will be able to map the code out once its done
