V5 Ej205 into my v4 Uk turbo
Hi
as mentioned above ive a 98 Uk turbo took the engine out as headgasket went on it so will rebuild that at some point in the future I have a v5 engine came out of a 99 classic the wiring loom is different which I can see most of the plugs look like they are the same only thing that I’ve noticed is the idle valve is different on the inlet manifold the V5 has it built in on the top of the engine using a 6 pin plug where as the V5 has it on the side with a 3 pin plug
my question is would the car start or would I need to get a new loom built for it
I know it will need a remap which is in the plans once up and running but would I need to change anything else don’t really want to split the engine to use the V4 heads when the V5 engine is complete
any help much appreciated
