Default Simga Alarm

Hi Guys,

Hoping someone can help. I have a 1999 Subaru Impreza UK 2000. It has been parked in my garage for the last year or so and i thought i had disconnected the battery but hadn't so this has gone flat, after putting a new battery on the car it wont start because it is immobilised. I have the single button key fob and key pad in the glove box, unfortunately i do not know the key code for the car. Any ideas on how to reset the immobiliser or do i need to get someone out to program the fob? I phoned my local Subaru garage a while ago and they said they can no longer get hold of the pin codes for vehicles that old.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Adam

Thats a load of crap mate, as long as the pin code has never been changed from when it was fitted then any subaru dealer can give you the code.

Default More help needed

Hi guys, thanks for you replies.

I phoned another Subaru dealer and they managed to give me the code thankfully. But I went to input the code and it seems as though the keypad in my glove box does not work. When you press any of the buttons the led light does not light up and it does not feel like the buttons are pressing. Does anyone know how difficult it is to simply remove the immobiliser system so I can then install and completely new system. Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Adam
