Default ECU reset vs mapping

Hi. It's been suggested I should reset my ECU since the car is running badly following a MAF change. The car was remapped a while ago to take advantage of a number of engine mods. If I reset the ECU will I not lose that remap and end up back at factory settings?

No,the map will still be on there.
You are best off resetting after fitting a Maf anyway.

Nope, the map will remain the same but any learned values will be lost. The ECU will take a little bit of time to relearn the values so you should expect it to perhaps not be just as quick initially.
