remapping why ? ?
just a straight question really, I had my 99uk classic mapped 3 year ago, is there any point in a map tweak? or something like.. just wondered is it good idea to get it mapped every couple years..

Given engines do wear then you prob would see a tiny benefit from slight readjustment to suit, engines always loose power as they get old no mater what, so a slight tweak to suit current conditions would take it back to what its current condition is capable of. as far as is it worth it? not unless it has an issue develop. As said above a dyno run to check all ok would be a sensible thing every few months or so.

remapping
thanks for your comments chaps yes and good suggestions as well , a R R would be a good idea , as said a tired engine can be a different ball game with 350 figure. I don't do to much boosting because of age of engine ej205 on 100,000 now so shes an old bird but seems to pull very well still.but on borrowed time I fear. was mapped in Swindon by mr B rawle open road live map. was quite an experience! change oil 6 months and just had diff and gearbox oil done . thanks again for sensible response to question.
