Delving into the ECU
Hi Everyone,
I am just wondering if anyone can help me. Being the nerd I am I find the inner workings interesting. I have no desire to play with my map etc but I am intrigued to look inside the ECU and engine management.
If I get a Tactrix cable will I be able to do engine code lookups as well as looking at the maps ? Does anyone have an intro to such items?

Thanks for that! Seeing as I dont want to start flashing ROMS, more just logging and such is there any other cable I can use. If I was mapping and such I would buy one but for fault logging/clearing and data logging it seems a tad expensive.

I believe a simple cheap vag com cable will do you for data logging(Best double check tho as I only have an old classic),don't think this would let you look at the tables in the map so not really delving.
I've heard of evoscan think they're cheaper than tactrix?
As bludgod says, romraider is full of all the info you need and more
