GC8 Engine easy mods?
Hey guys! Thinking about doing some mods on my 99 STI. I know from factory they made around 300ps but I'm assuming with it being 16 years old and since it was made to take 100 octane its probably sitting a bit less than that. I'm trying to keep it relatively stock just because I don't want to go SUPER mod crazy. As it stands now the car is literally bone stock. Was wondering some easy mods that could be done to get myself to around 330hp? I know an ECU remapping and a new exhaust are in order. Any idea of where that would put me? Anything else you guys would suggest? Thanks a ton!

you could check andy forrest's site for decent upgrade paths:
http://andyforrestperformance.co.uk/58761.html
Level 2 310-330 bhp
Full Decat or Sportscat exhaust from turbo back 2.5 or 3” bore
Walbro 255 l/hr uprated fuel pump
K&N panel filter and resonator delete
Fuel Lab turbo specification fuel pressure regulator with fitting kit & gauge
EcuTek custom remap of original ECU
NGK PFR 7B uprated spark plugs
personally i'd be doing the fuel pump with or without the map -it will be getting on in years and not something you want to take a chance on.
