Spark plugs when to change them!!
Hello All,
I am a new proud owner of a blob eye wrx. My mileage on the car is just shy of hittin 67k. In the old receipts it states spark plugs were changed at 54k by main dealer, I was going to get oil change done on it as that is due. I was wondering when do I need to change the spark plugs on the car or do you think I am good for few more thousand miles.
Apologies for the noob question, new to the turbo game!
Regards
Kassim

Thanks for the quick replies. The invoice date is 30/07/12.
The problem is I am a bit tight for cash for and will be for a little while, as I just purchaesd the car.
That said the car defo needs an oil and air panel filter change as the service is due and I will be getting that done.
ahh the dilema!!! So do you guys think I be good for a while or is it something I need to do asap.
Thanks

Should be fine for a while, my current set have been in 20k and 3yrs with your timings and miles covered they should last until the next oil service in 5/6k.
Only use good quality oil though such as fuchs titan, millers cf or Motul 300v, your money will be better spent on quality oil than the plugs.

Agreed, idealy i'd say get them changed, but if your tight with cash it won't harm leaving them in abit longer.
Oil is the key, i use Castrol magnitec but change it every few thousand miles. But thinking of changing to better oil and changing less. But oil changes and choice of oil are alot more important than spark plugs.
