Could do with some advice
Hi looking for some advice
I've got a uk classic on x reg an I've already carried or a few mods
3" afterburner exhaust
3" japspeed decat
Afterburner headers
Hks air filter
HDI front mount intercooler
The advice I require is what turbo to go for ?
And I've got a ecutek maped ecu (not maped to my car) do I get it maped or get a apex fc commander ?
Or would I be better off saving for a mafless ECU
I'm hoping for 300-350 bhp

Td05-16g will get you to around 350hp
Spool is very fun and street able too.
Add esl daughter board to your ecu and a tune, you will have very fun car!
Esl can run mafless

If your driving the car you want to get it mapped asap, I'd be looking to keep the power somewhere around the 300/320bhp max because as above if you take it to 350 it's going to be on the edge of a big bang and costly repairs of much more than the car is worth, especially if it gets driven hard.

I've got a type ra box in the pipe line, and I only have to use the car once a week and it's only a 3 mile drive in town so max of 30 mph as it's my weekend car, I want to get a turbo before mapping that why I'm asking for the advice.
And I've already spent more on the car than its worth but that's ok because I don't intend in get rid of it, love the car

The RA box still has a weak point in the casing I believe, some have run them up to as much as 450bhp (Harvey Smith) but your going to be taking pot luck and have to drive it knowing that you need to take it easy. I ran my Type R (same box) at 330 with no problems but only launched it 4/5 times, too risky as far as i'm concerned, did do some pretty hard driving and a few track days with no issues though.
All of this depends how deep your pockets are, it's all well and good going for 350bhp but if your gear boxes keep sh!ting themselves it gets expensive, i'd reign in my expectations a little if I were you and head for a safe 310/320bhp, it's still going to be a quick car because it's a classic and 200kg lighter than a newage which would need at least another 50bhp to feel/ be anywhere near as quick.
The other benefit is smaller turbo's spool faster.
