Billet SC42's fall in
I'm looking to purchase a new turbo over the coming months and after seeing some results, I've been keenly leaning towards a billet SC42.
However, it seems very common for people to stick up their results when they're happy with them and it seems less common (to me anyways) for someone to do it with what they may deem 'mediocre' results.
Only have to look at the crowds that went on to buy the Mdx321t's for a 2.0 only to find a lot of people didn't achieve what was expected. I know there's always more to it than just the turbo but some people had good specs otherwise.
So if all you guys reading that are running a billet SC42 would very kindly post figures, graphs, bum dyno results or even just your own personal opinion/review on it, it would be very much appreciated. Again, I know there are a lot on the 'Scoobyclinic Billet' thread but can't help feel that they may be somewhat favoured. Anyways, thanks for reading and I look forward to any replies

On a blob STi mine made 410bhp and 360lb/ft it is a little bit laggy for a lot of people but I only ever drive it hard on track where it's on boost anyway. I was expecting a bit more power though tbh
Other mods;
Gt spec 2 headers and uppipe
850cc injectors
Silicone intake
3port boost solenoid
3" downpipe and exhaust
fmic
aem intake
Remapped by Duncan Graham
and probably a couple of other bits I've forgotten

Many thanks for being the first to upload. Its still not to be sniffed at
Are you running an ECUtek remap or aftermarket unit? Can you recall when you purchased the turbo?

I have just taken the plunge and ordered an MD321T so on the opposite side of this equation a little I guess. After speaking to a few people this is the route I've chosen.
I'm not really too worried about numbers on a piece of paper more over how the car drives and feels on track (this is where the car gets pushed hard) hopefully the numbers will be reasonable!
From what I have read and been told both the 321T and SC42 like to run a fair amount of boost, so on a standard engine this might be a bit of a worry, but pushed up on a built engine at 1.7/1.8 bar with a drop of meth thrown in I believe they both make really nice power.
Looking forward to seeing which route you take and your results/findings

Awaiting delivery and fitting then mapping.
That said the sc42 are of same caliber and a proven turbo.

Martyn, the 2.1's clearly making far more torque than the 2.0 but do they necessarily make more bhp? And judging by the dates, they're both fairly old units too?
