MY99 Induction...
#1
Just toying with the idea of getting an Induction kit, the following are on my list of maybe's...
HKS Induction Kit
HKS Racing Suction Kit
APS Induction Kit
Ram-Pod Induction Kit.
I've deliberately left out Blitz as I don't like em - same
goes for the K&N, Graham Goode stuff...
Question is, if I opted for the HKS Induction Kit, would it damage the MAF sensor?
The car is an MY99 RB5 WR with Scoobysport downpipe and HKS Hiper mid and rear... what do you think would be the next best-step induction-wise?
A.N.Induction Kit + Samco 'straight' hoses and stuff?

Matt

Most of the time I have found that MAF failure is more to do with how well an induction kit has been fitted.
All very good choices, I personally like the Blitz SUS too, but all are very high quality items.
Let me know if you'd like any details.

I used a RamPod induction kit for over 9 months on a MY99 with no issues!
I use the APS one for 4 months and it blew my MAF sensor.
HKS kits need to be fitted correctly as there is a theory of MAF sensors blowing due to vibrations and incorrect fitting. Also heard of one HKS kit blowing 4 MAF sensors. Problem was that the foam filter wasn't changed for over 40k!!!

I been using a MRT Rampod kit for about 8 month on a MY99 with no MAF issues so far. And I had a one on a Legacy turbo for 1 1/2 year withot any issues.
