Question

Bought a second hand link ECU,reset it to the default map, plugged it in just to see what it would be like, and the car won't start.
When I plug back in the standard ECU, the car starts OK.

My car is a MY98 UK turbo. The ECU came from a 97 WRX jap car.
Version info from the ECU is as follows - WRX97PX 16JAN01

Scoty,

Have you got a copy of the manual ? Available here

I *think* I remember a post from a while back about about a setting for the immobiliser - may be worth checking.

I hope you get it sorted !

Thanks

Gavin

Cool

Nice one mate that's exactly what was wrong with it.

The ECU was set for a car with no imobiliser fitted, my UK cars got one fitted, that's why it wouldny start.

Thanks again mate.
