Default To DCCD or not (6 speed)

Have a V4 Type R which obviously already has DCCD however I'm looking at possibly changing the gearbox to a 6 speed (have been out in a classic with a 6 speed and was very impressed).

Can the standard GC8 DCCD ecu control the newage DCCD?

TIA
Paul

Jolly good.
I guess it isn't plug-n-play though and will require re-wiring?

Thanks

Ok cheers

Don't suppose you know exactly what bits required for a swap (I've had a look but as with most internet info it's a bit of a mish mash).

Obvioulsy I will need gearbox, propshaft, rear diff and gearknob assembly is there anything else?

Thanks

If u get jdm 6 speed sure u will just need box and prob.
What impressed you? Won't you miss your short gearing?

Jdm 6 speed has close ratios too - I've got one in a P1 and 7500 in 6th is circa 164mph which is plenty really as bits started flying off at that speed at 30-130

Gearbox was in a standard power T reg STI

The actually feel of the gearbox was impressive,it felt very tight and precise when changing gear, just the sheer gathering of speed in going from 1st to 4th was excellent(i.e. not having to rev the nuts off it)

And as Fat Boy said the closeness of the gears meant it felt exactly like the Type R gearbox
