Any body ever fitted a classic diff guard to a newage.....V4 to V7.......is it possible or can it be made to fit? Cradle is different and mine is a r180 diff??? Any1 have any insight on this cheers
Funny your just asking now as am on getting it sorted.....nothing to worry about the diff guard it's just the brackets need making bigger.....am on getting mine made big enough to drop lower than I would as I've fitted the hawk diffuser........yes mate it's a easy fix if you can get the brackets made for you as my mate is doing mine at his work.....I will let you know how I get on as they should be done this wk ;0)
My mate nearly sliced his finger off at work so been waiting till he went back in......the brackets should be made this wk so I will give you shout once he's had a bash at them......bare with me mate and I will get back to you
This is as far we have got mate.....the front bracket made to perfection but took ages and cut with a proper machine.....the back brackets a idea but not tried yet mate......hope this helps ;0)
I needed to drop the height of the diff guard to make it visible as I've fitted a hawkeye diffuser so the rear bracket is a lowering idea....as is the front made longer.......the other thing to do for the back 1 is to cut it and weld abit on to make it longer for the distance it brings the guard off the diff......does that help?
Wot so you just want the front 1 making? As I was always dropping mine does the normal size in height still fit? These are made to drop it 50mm......wot brackets do you have if any?
I have no rear brackets at all and the longer bracket (the black one in your pic) is for the smaller diff and not the sti R180. So I just need brackets for standard fitment on the newage sti
