Question

Hi,

I am looking at changing the DP on my MY00 wagon from OE one to either SS/TSL or maybe a PE T75.

I am lead to believe the PE T75 will fit without hitch (slight mod to heatshield, but that's it apparently) ... I've heard other ones don't fit as well. Any comment on TSL or SS DPs
... and any comment on the low down torque improvement?

Thanks in advance

Steve

Hi mate, i fitted the scoobysport downpipe yesterday, must admit i was a bit p*ssed off at first as i fitted it and it 'just' touched the gearbox crossmember
HOWEVER after taking the mounting off the gearbox (easy) and shaving off about 4mm x 2mm there is no contact at all.
i must say that the sound is the b*llocks, i can now put my foot down in higher gears and not have to wait to days for the lag to end....
This has (for now!) been my best modification to date, you can hear the turbo spin up as soon as you touch the throttle and the roar is mental...
Think i'm gonna make love to my exhaust tonight, how am i gonna explain my burnt bits to my missus
Rob
p.s. have been told that my case is a one off and that they normally fit straight up, dont be put off by my problem it was easily solved...

Cool

Rob,

How was the sh*g?

Glad to hear the DP problem was solved easily. I've ''Experienced'' the SS DP and it does sound great. The early Turbo spool up is just what I want ... just not keen on messing around too much with fitting the thing.

Thanks

Steve

I am a total novice when it comes to mechanics! However, I fitted the TSL D/P in about 2 to 2.5 hours - piece of p!ss!!! Excellent quality bit of kit - all fitted exactly where it shoul - only modifying needed was a trimming of the heat shield around the turbo (which i believe you need for all d/P's?)
