Question

Just had a moment of inspiration.

If i were to put the dawes on the MAP sensor line on it's minimum setting, would it work as a FCD.

Obviously i would check voltage differences from the MAP and check with a boost guage before and after.

Do you think this might work or was my moment of inspiration wasted

Thanks

Iain

JB, CC any answers??

I was going to T into the map line and then fit the dawes so that it vented to atmos from 15psi onwards.that way nothing below 15psi would change, then above 15 the valve would open.Andy(CC) uses a relief valve to his map sensor but I am not sure if this is how it works or not.

the only thing is that I would have to buy another dawes so would be better off just buying the dawes fuel cut lifter from performance exhausts.

Works just fine Ian I have mine on a T piece on the map supply, it bleeds off map signal at 16 psi. If you are prepared to fiddle with restrictors, you can use it as a boost cut raiser

You can't fit it in-line as the ECU would not see vacuum.

T-uk - Relief valve from RS components only £ 8.00

T-uk you can have my electronic fuel cut lifter if you like - bit easier to setup than a pneumatic one with less guess work, but I would rather do you a remap

t-uk doesn't need to go any faster he's already been shedding bodywork in his efforts to get more speed

Are you ladies going along to Crail on Sunday? t-uk - I should have your famed exploits on vid by then and the rest of you will be able to have a swatch as well
