Dont bother asking that question because everyone gives a different answer. Personally i have a quikshift racing stainless jobbie which is very similar to a blitz. The thing is, everyone on here complains about MAF failure with stainless which have had none. On a turbo car inparticular i wouldnt have anything else due to the explosive noise on gear changes. So go on guys slag off stainless!

Well Hung,
How much did you pay for the quickshift stainless one? I was thinking of it as a cheap alternative to Blitz but was unsure... What do you think of it / how long have you had it?

Nick,
I have the blitz stainless as you well know V suprised you can get it for £70 retail at around £170 normally. From what I have heard apexi gives all round best filtration and performance but blitz best performance with not the best filtration. My dyno b4 and after, which i can send you shows an added 15 bhp at the top end, which u will agree is quite a lot. Marginal loss lower down the revs including torque.
Call me anytime if you want to try it on yours first.
Cheers
Paul

You cant get a blitz for £70 no way! The quikshift filter kit cost some where around £100 but im not to sure, blitz was nearly double and the quikshift is far bigger anyway. Ive had mine on for six months ish and as yet had no probs at all, plus the noise on gear changes is awesome. Arent apexi cotton? stainless provides more power than cotton gauze- Fact!

Well Hung,
Do you have a picture of the quickshift? If it is bigger than the Blitz i would be well impressed, also where did you buy it from?
Cheers,
Richard.

Unfortunately, im an idiot with digi cameras but i think the best deals are at motorsportworld,co.uk. Mine was bought for me by my bird so im not sure what she paid but i think it was from tweeks. Dont quote me but im pretty certain its bigger than the blitz although i did hear that they made it a little smaller after i got mine cos it was too big. Mine is literally crammed into the gap and couldnt get any bigger, maybe give them a ring and see if you can get the original.

a good link for comparisons
http://www.gtrowner.com/induction.html
as i said I am under the impression that the blitz being stainless steel mesh gives the best performance but not the best filtration, the apexi possibly less in the performance but more in the filtration so is a good compromise at cost. Next time im driving through a desert storm i may reconsider my blitz
Cheers
