clutch pedal not returning after gear change?
Right,
So my 96 classic impreza with a 6speed conversion when changing gear the clutch pedal gets stuck half way and i have to hook it back up with my foot, if i dont it wont let me change gear.
So today i changed the brake fluid but its still the same, if not worse.
What could cause this?
Its a helix clutch if that helps?
Thanks

Bleeding an Impreza clutch isn't easy, are you sure you did it correctly? And if you did, are you sure the master cylinder isn't leaking? And if it isn't, are you sure the spigot bearing was replaced at the time of conversion? Could be any of these.

To bleed the slave cylinder you need to unbolt it and use a clamp to stop the plunger moving. Then make sure the bleed nipple is above the rest of the cylinder i.e at the very top and the have someone press the clutch. Crack the bleed nipple and bleed, do this till you have no air. They often do not bleed correctly insitu.
