Where does the drain from the coolant filler cap normally sit - does it just dump it in front of the battery? Disconnected anyway?

Level was a bit high after filling it after I spend most of Saturday lying in it - most has overflowed now after some enthusiastic driving. Mayonnaise cleared as well

there is a drain plug on the bottom back left of the radiator when you are looking at it...

Can't see this pipe being long enough to reach it? Could it be different on different model years or am I being thick? Anyone with a MY99/00 have a look for me?

Thanks WREXY. Just when you see puddles of corrosive coolant sitting on your nice silver paintwork you worry a bit, but I'll keep washing it off if it overflows more - should be OK after I did some trashing to test the intake temperatures

Mine misses the battery...but coats the indicator backplate, corroding it nicely All the my99/00's I've seen do this after trackwork - but not the 98's....

John,

Just had a look on mine. The hose just sits in front of the battery dumping in front of it!

Cheers,

Wrexy.
