What would cause serious juddering on over run?
#1
I've been having a few problems with a low powered 01 PPP.
This morning on the way home from work in the wet conditions, when I accelerated up to 6000 rpm in say 3rd gear and lifted off I got serious juddering / Missing sensation from the car.
I also got juddering if I drove along at a constant 5-7k revs in every gear.
Any ideas as this car is really starting to depress me
Thanks
Nathan..

Have you got any other mods on such as a decat exhaust - they can sometimes foul the drive shafts when a change of load occurs causing the engine to roatate slightly on its mounts, thereby causing the exhaust to move slightly.

I don't think its either of these, but more likely associated with the fuelling/ECU problem. If the dumpvalve were not working, it would cause a problem, but this is unlikely.
On the standard car, the ECU opens the throttle on over run, using the stepper motor. You can watch the pressure change on a boost gauge. If its not working correctly, this could cause the juddering.

I think your probably right when you say its related to the other problems but its starting to get worse, hopefully its going to become easier to diagnose.
The only trouble is I have to wait a week or so to get booked in to get it sorted, I can't survive diving a purple Fiesta 1.4 much longer
Cheers
