I have a MY00 Impreza GT with transmission code TY754VN1AB.
I am looking for a rear LSD, and thinking of the R160.
What ratio is my rear diff? 4,11?

 

If gearbox is original then vn denotes 3.54 rear diff iirc.

 

Yes, same code on the sticker on the transmission.
Will a R160 fit?

Isn`t the original rear diff on the GT open, and the R160 limited slip?

Think your getting confused. The r160 denotes the size of unit regardless of whats inside.

Anyone have any experience with Kaaz LSD`s?

 

I had a Kaaz in my pug 205 and made a world of difference. Back then they had a very good name....not sure if anything has changed since then or how they are in the Impreza but would certainly be a make I would look at if upgrading.
