Default Clutch help, judder and tapping

Since I've had the type r it's had a clutch judder when pulling off, I've now noticed tonight that when the clutch is released it taps, as soon as the clutch is pressed the tapping vanishes...now what could I be looking at? Gear box oil, clutch, release bearings? Etc...

Any help is welcome, not sure if the car is down on power, as in clutch spinning.

Cheers.

hmm not sure on the tapping. but when i bought my STI i used to get clutch judder big time.

The advice in here is to do a few launches. To begin with i was super scepticle, and first couple launches made it worse. however after about 4 the problems cleared up and has been working perfect ever since.

I dont mean nail it launch, just nice fast take off will probably do it. Something to do with buildup on the clutch plates or something.

Cheers mate, will give it ago tonight

As for tapping, I have no idea tbh...checked the gearbox oil level and it does seem low, so going to fill that up tonight and see if that also helps.

Hopefully it's not the clutch, cars due in for a health check next week so hopefully it will be ok!

There is a little spring on the clutch lever thing, just under the right side of the intercooler. Make sure this is tight and and is not moving freely, if it is remove it chop a bit off and refit. Note when or if you chop some off you will need to rebend 1 hook, you will see when you remove. Inform if this gets rid of the tapping.

Right hand side as in drivers side if your looking at the engine from the drivers seat, or right hand side as in the passanger side of the intercooler?

Will have a look shortly matey!

Cheers for the tip

Right side as you look at your engine, it's your clutch lever. It's got a spring on it, once your under you can't miss it.
