Scooby Sport or Graham Goode backbox
#1
I'm looking for a reasonably priced good sounding backbox for my new age Impreza WRX. I was looking for a SS, but the Graham Goode is cheaper. What should I go for? Is there a big difference in sound and volume?
Kind regards

I can't see why you brits go so mad with your scoobysport stuff. Every scoobysport piece I've seen was utter garbage. My favourite garage had a TB exhaust imported and it looked like it was fashioned by a 14 year old with a big hammer. The welds were really poor and there was even a leak where they didn't weld a seam completely.
Thinking the item was dammaged during shipping and possibly just an odd defective unit they shipped it back for a replacement. The replacement although it had no leaks wasn't really any better. This made my decision to install a 3" MRT exhaust which I might add was very well done and the welds on my unit look like artwork.
My only other experience with scoobysport is a hoodscoop that they made and sent. It was supposed to be carbon fiber but turned out to be fiberglass with CF on top. The fiber wasn't laid evenly and was stretched and distorted. Scoobysport was even told this was for a show car. Utterly unusable.
Maybe you guys being closer to Scoobysport get better quality stuff or maybe these 3 occurrences were just flukes? I'm surprised so many recommend them after what I've seen.

To be fair, I can't see any of my scoobysport exhaust apart from the tail pipe which when polished looks good (ie, whether the welds look good or not isn't an issue)
I think scoobysport recommendations are based mainly on sound. When I did have an issue with my backbox, there were no questions and no charges. All very professional.
