Default will a gearbox fit from wagon into saloon??

hi im buyin a gearbox and diff out of a wagon,will these fit straight onto my saloon?

It will fit.
The ratios may be different.

thanks for replys,how do u no wot ratio a diff is?im buyin it with the matchin diff but the gearbox code is only one number different... my code is ty752vn5ba and box im getting is ty752vn4ba?

The diff ratio is often stamped on the crown wheel. Remove the diff cover plate and rotate until you see some stamped numbers. eg 40:9 is obviously 4.44 and 37:9 is 4.11.
I suspect they are the same ratio.

can any help i cant find the ratio number stamped on the diff i have just brought?crown whhel where the prop shaft bolts on??

Take the alloy cover off the back of the diff and look inside. You will see the crown wheel. The largest gear wheel in the diff. Rotate it until you find some numbers stamped on the crown wheel.
Drain the diff oil first or it gets messy.
