Poss clutch prob
Had my 1998 classic a week now and its done a funny clutch thing a couple of times....
when using high rpms and changing gear the pedal has stuck down....first time i had to get my foot round back of it to pull it back, other time it flicked back itself after a few secs. Also was accompanied by a very bad clutch burning smell the first time according to my friend following, i smelt nothing.
Could it be just the pedal? or is that wishful thinking?

Hi mate, that happened to mine, the release bearing collapsed inside and has to buy new clutch kit. when your in neutral and the car switched on does it make a noise and when the cluch pedal is depressed does the noise go away, if this happens then the release bearing is at fault but all in all i think you need to change your clutch. also make sure you have enough fluid.
