if that is typed correctly, and you are only running 0.6 bar, thats just a smidge less than 8psi....a bit low if you ask me

what does anyone else think?

Talking

240bhp on Jap fuel so even on Optimax you will see less - perhaps 230bhp (ish).

But 0.6 bar is wrong, I think on that model it should be holding 1bar (14.493psi).

Get your boost control sorted and you should get a significant increase in power....

Early WRX's have less boost than early UK cars which is 12psi. The WRX gains it's power from Larger injectors, better mapping and cam profiles.

My old 93 WRX 'from memory' only gave about 10psi which was the same as everybody elses at the time.

Old wrxs had the same 380cc injectors as UK cars.

They changed at version 3 on the jap cars to 440s. and at version 5 on uk cars (phase 2 my 99) to 440s.

I recently asked a similar question for my 93 WRX and was told they should be running at 0.8 bar not 0.6 so I would imagine that could be dropping a few horses. do you use octane booster as well as this should take it up to the 100 ron that the imports should be running (It made a hell of a difference on mine when I put in optimax, octane booster then had the ecu reset)

Wink

Silly question i know but i take it you do use super unleaded and not unleaded??
Other thing is, is that some people replace the ecu for an MY95 one (260ps) with some improvement (think there is one for sale in the for sale forum) and that should give you some more horses
Does sound like your boost is low thou but hope you get it sorted soon!

should run 0.8-0.9 bar std, not 0.6.

With exhaust and induction should be around 1 bar tho...
