Car is a classic My 99 UK turbo,

1st gearbox stripped 3rd gear, fine, got a working replacement off ebay

paid to get it swapped out etc, all worked fine for 2weeks, then it just got stuck in 1st gear, while on the drive..

got hold of the bloke that fitted it, and said he would have to strip the gearbox down to see whats up, fine

3weeks later as he was busy, he stripped it down and realised the gear and tested the box could not find any fault with it, ran more tests, still fine,, rebuilt it back and stuck it back in the car, went for a test drive all working fine, my mate picked up the car today, drove it back all well,

Parked it on his drive, awaiting for me to pay and collect it,

And guess what its stuck in bloody 1st gear again,,

Really need to some idea's why and what the problem is, really missing my car and want it back on the road over xmas,
