What oil in a 2001 bugeye WRX ?

Default What oil in a 2001 bugeye WRX ?

Just wondering wat u guys recommend, ive been using Castrol Magnatec 10/40 for few years and seems fine, change every 6months, but the Halfords website recommends 5/40 which is fully synthetic i think ? hmmm....

hmmm..fully synthetic is good engineering however my mechanic always gets a bit thicker oil , he thinks too much vacuum /pressure in these to go fully synthetic (I know , he is a bit old ...) I used Castrol Magnatec 10/60 (stayed in turkey few months, 45 degrees over there) now back to good old 10/45

5w-40 synthetic will be fine, there is plenty to choose from! 5w-40, 5w-40 oil, 5w40, 5w/40
