whilst driving the car last night Ive noticed a noise coming from the box in 1st and 2nd (didnt get to 3rd or 4th at high revs) the box is quiet when driving slow/normal it seems to be when u accellerate and get to nr 6k, it sounds like a gratey noise and def noticabley loud (if that makes sense)?

I had the clutch replaced at approx 3k, the old clutch never slipped just had it changed as a precaution as it was getting high?

I dont abuse the car and thrash the a*se of it.

Anyone had a similar experience or any ideas what it may be?

still intermittently(?) making the noise, could it be anything to do with when the clutch was replaced?, like something loose or not lined up properly?

could be a noisy thrust bearing, if it only started happening since your new clutch.

could oil be low? how do you check gearbox oil?? i have a noise in 3rd and 4th gear (kinda like a winding up and down noise)...my solution is turn on the radio

right think ive got it all wrong regarding the gearbox, ive narrowed it down to a poss steering/front drive issue, when pulling out of a junction left in 1st accellerating, at the top of the revs im getting a vibrating noticable noise coming from the front end around the diff (hence y i thought gearbox) its def more so when turning left or right

Has anyone any ideas to narrow it down or had a similar experience

got the car looked at today it turns out the gearbox mountings are knackered, could have been worse I guess
