Doesn't it actually increase, but more sort of shift than increase? Hugely clear there ...
I mean there's a higher peak level at higher RPM but actually less contant across the range (especially less at low RPM), so less driveable although more power Hey hey I'm explaining things well today
Well, maybe somebody else can describe properly what I'm driveling about

Some people find it makes it a bit lean during spool up losing torque. Stephen Done got good results by remapping his.

I thought it just made a load of noise on my car and now run a panel filter.

yeh makes it much louder
Blitz + PiperX induction....

can't comment too much as I had very DP + BB fitted just before.. I feel the mid range doesn't scream away quite like it does when she's on song... I almost removed mine coz of the silly maxpower esc sound but I've stuck with it and just lift of the throttle much faster to get a crisper note from the dv (standard)

I'm now using a Green "Twister" filter with their ducting kit and a bellmouth.

Looks similar to a K&N filter (ie. cotton) in an aluminium case with 80mm ducting to the front bumper.

AFAIK Green don't sell a bellmouth for it so I got one for £2.50 from Maplin (aka bass port).

Very quiet and with better flow than the stock setup.

I don't use the MAF (Link ECU) so check with Green beforehand if you decide to go this route.

Thanks

Gavin

I had an MY94 WRX with a full scoobymania decat exhaust and blitz filter and it was _crap_, the blitz came off after a week or so. From what I can gather it will make the car run leaner, this is the reason for the reluctance to fit my APS Cool Air to the RB5.

I think that a remap is on the cards and the APS can wait until then...

ta,
Matt.
