I have just bought a secondhand gearbox to fit to a car that was advertised as a TY754VB1BA with a 4.44 final drive, when it was delivered i took the oil bung out and counted the teeth on the crownwheel and there were 37. I am sure there should be 40 teeth on a 4.44 and that 37 teeth makes it a 4.111 hence the box i've been supplied is incorrect.

The supplier says its my mistake am I going insane or have I been supplied with the wrong box????? HELP!!!!

yep one and the same as the rally forum version!!!

I only wanted this box while I wait for bits for my dog box, the 'temporary' box was supposed to be a TY754VB1BA and should have a 4.44 final drive according to all the transmission charts but it only has a 37 tooth crownwheel and that makes it a 4.11 by my calculation.

The supplier has now agreed to take the box back and refund me but now im stuck without a box again and i'm supposed to be out testing in 10 days
