After market MY2001 JDM Sti7 clutch options
Hey,
Need to replace the clutch on MY2001 JDM Sti7:
clutch cover
disc
bearings
Does anyone know an after market manufacturer that supplies these parts for my car.....I need to see if I can find these parts in the USA.
Thanks

I was hoping that was the case but I am not sure and the USA MY2004 has the 2.5L.....I was thinking that the 6MT gearbox and clutch would be the same but don't want to buy the wrong clutch parts.
I found these numbers in a Subaru book which I think are the correct part#'s for my car; however, they can't be found in the parts lookup for USA Subarus:
Clutch cover: 30210AA40
Disc: 30100AA710
Bearings: 30525AA000
The MY2004 USA version Sti has a clutch kit that includes all these parts -
Clutch kit: 860 610 130
Any ideas ?
Thanks.

Have you tried nasioc.com or iwsti.com ? There must be somebody else in the US that has done this already.
Alternatively you could try finding out the measurements for the cover and plate for each car and see how they compare. Or perhaps look up a replacement for the USDM car on a website and compare specs with a replacement for a UK/JDM/EU spec from a UK website.
I have a 2001 JDM STI 7 and I know the clutch is the same as UK/EU spec 2002 STIs. I had an Exedy sports clutch fitted with a new subaru flywheel and spigot bearing last year.

I would expect the 2.5 to have a different flywheel to the 2.0, but that's just me....

P.S. I just got an Exedy for my 2.0, and the part no. for a 2.5 Forester is different.
