Default DCCD noise on lift off - GC8 Type R

Hi all,

I have an MY98 Sti Type R, which is fitted with a PPG box, Exedy twin plate hyper clutch and still has the standard DCCD.

If the DCCD is rolled forward, when I lift off the throttle in say fourth gear I get a grinding type noise that comes and goes. No idea where it is coming from....

Note this only happens when the DCCD is rolled forward.

Anybody have any ideas? Is this normal with a PPG box and/or uprated clutch?

Many thanks
Ross

Anyone??

My guess was something in diff what with it only making the noise when power moves to the front.

Nobody else had this?

I get this noise too! No idea what it is though. I do hillclimbs and it makes a right old racket coming back down the hill until I roll back the DCCD

P.S. I am running standard internals on a Ver 3 close ratio box/4.44 diffs.
