It could be either the bearing or the shaft I'm afraid.
Both can cause a clicking when turning, you could try checking to see if there is any play in the bearing (there should be nothing at all) & if there is then you have found your problem, this unfortunately is not definative as we have had bearings that feel ok but have ended up being the offending item.
If you can't physicaly find anything that is obvious then i'm afraid you are going to have to toss a coin or borrow a driveshaft from someone to try it.

A drive shaft should last a shed load longer than 9 months!!
Seeing as it's had a shaft I would put my money on the bearing being faulty, you have to be one very unlucky person to have a new d/shaft fail so quickly, these things normaly last for years or even for the life of the car.

A driveshaft should last longer than that, however had a toyota yaris drive shaft and that was installed dry, that lasted two years though.
Your symptoms sound more bearing failure than shaft, however just to let you know that the scooby can trash the hub if you have had a failed bearing in for any great length of use.
