Default P1 box fitting

Just fitted a P1 box and Matching Diff into my 93 wrx and when fitting the drivers side shaft into the p1 diff using my orginal shaft it doesnt fully go into the diff so the clip can be fitted yet the passanger side fits perfectly.

Theres no travel in the shaft so dont think it will come loose but is this normal for this conversion or have i missed something i should have done?

Cheers

Drew

Yes there is a slight difference between the shafts on a P1 and the ones on your age of car. AFAIK your one on the Drivers side is about 10mm longer?

Ask or PM David @ API or any of the gearbox specialists on here and they'll set you right.

is this the rear you are talking about or the front?

When i was putting my PPG box in it used a P1 rear diff and i had to use P1 rear drive shafts, my standard ones fitted inside the diff just wouldnt click in.

You will need to get P1 rear drive shafts. ths front ones should be ok AFAIK

i take it it would only be the drivers side rear that i need as the other side fitted correctly.

Also is it any v5/v6 model or does it have to be the sti versions
