nice! where did you get those (spoiler included)?

it seems most folk doing intercooler upgrades go front mounted.

cheers!

Dave

Interesting design of intercooler. Why have you gone for the inlet and outlet on the same side? Won't it make the losses across the intercooler much higher than normal?

Duncan,

good point.. if i had a single pass intercooler made, i would have to modify the charge carrie to throttle body pipe, this is very difficult..

this way was the easiest option, and it has been tested at 25psi to give inlet charge temps of 38 deg's!

Lots of people have fitted uprated IC's to their Scoobs, mostly FMIC's but some have uprated TM's too......

Off the top of my head

CraigH - APS
BRD Bob - APS
Adam M - Pace
Mike Tuckshop - Pace
Scott J Davies - HKS
Tim W - HKS
AlanG - Hyperflow
Stef - Hyperflow

there are others but I can't remember who right now....

Also, some other IC discussions going on at the mo...

Trout - MRT monster top mount

38deg at 25psi is good but not brilliant - a standard Sti V IC at 20psi will give less than that if you have waterspray (which is very cheap)

As Trout says 38deg is not that good and the STi V intercooler with water spray does match that (but not on the track). My temps don't go more than 6 degrees higher than ambient in current climatic conditions (I will admit to running water spray on it though ...) Without water probably get a 10 deg rise on ambient. In the warm weather I never had over 32 degrees (from a 26 deg ambient)

You can only quote rise above ambient so it would be of interest to hear what the 38 deg is based on.
