For Cyprus, I'd say a 5w-50 or 10w-50 oil would be the best option. I belive you maybe able to get Mobil one 5w-50 over there...an oil grade which is like hens teeth in the UK
10w-40 or even 5w-30 would be the normal reccomended options here in the UK for UK cars, but obviously our climate is a hell of alot colder
Gearbox oils: Tricky, I can't give a exact reccomendation, as I have conflicting information with reagrds to what is suitable for the DCCD type gearbox. But basically, it needs to be an oil that is compatible with a plated-type LSD.

Hi Charis
I also live in Cyprus. I have always used 10w60 or 15w50 with no problems, although both cars heavily modified. Not sure if these are suitable for standard cars. The best advice I can give is to fit an oil cooler if you dont have one. I ran for two summers without one and the 120+ oil temps did not agree with my engine. Where are you in Cyprus?

Down in Limassol - Mesa Yitonia. Thats why I probably have not seen you.
Your temp seems fine, but I would still invest in a kit for peace of mind. I killed mine, as it was heavily modified, ran up to 30psi boost and I used to drive it hard in the mountains even on hot days. I now have an oil cooler, although the car is now only used for hilclimbs, but even the bugeye I bought from the UK has an oil cooler. Noticed today at 29degrees in traffic that the oil never went above 80.
Have not been able to get hold of Millers oil in Cyprus, so may switch back to Liqui Moly oil on the next change for the classic 2L. 10/60 for the engineoil. I have found Motul 15/50 from Vangelis at Xmotorpsort for the bugeye, as this is what was used in the UK.
For gearbox oil, I always used Liqui Moly 75/90 for synchro PPG gearset although now using Millers 75/90 for the dogbox. I get this from Fanos in Lakatamia.
