OCTANE BOOSTER
#1
Ive finally decided to look out for a STI TYPE R. A few of the adverts i have looked at say "Super Unleaded plus octane booster"
Do you have to use this ? and what are the advantages of using it.
Is this product widely available ?

Very highly recommended, it ups the RON rating of the fuel in your tank, this allows the car to run fuel at the level it was designed for (they have higher rated fuel in Japan) Adviseable to minimise the risk of your engine going pop.
Availability is a bit of a problem, I order mine in cases from Scoobymania, or New Age Motorsport. Your local car parts stockist may be able to help you out, I know RichS could supply it, handy if you stay near Edinburgh.

A Jap import needs ideally to run on 100 RON petrol. Octane booster brings the octane rating of fuel closer to this mark.
I use and recommend NF
You can also use Millers which is recommended by other people.
I think there is another one which I have forgotten.
They are all widely available,
Cheers,
Michelle.
