Question

As above, does anyone know how easy it would be to fit a MY99 TMIC in the place of the standard MY97 one as mine is starting to look a bit rough (mild damage to the core)

Cossie Convert, your input would be appreciated! Did you go and buy that Radtek intercooler? If so how easy is it to fit and how well does it perform?

Russell,

Do you have a web address for the TMIC that CC talks about?

PS. The program about Colin McRae starts in 10 mins....

Question

I had a look for radtec's website after reading Cosie Converts post. It looks like they have registered the domain name, but dont actually have a web site yet.

Hi Wuz,
I can strongly recommend that you upgrade your 97MY UK intercooler. I am not sure of the benefits in upgrading to a 99/00MY one but I have recently upgraded to an second hand STiV / VI / P1 TMIC. This has enabled 3 extra degrees of advance on my link in some zones and have been told that it has given me between 30-50% extra efficiency over and above my 97MY UK one. I am not sure on what improvements you would see with a 99/00MY one as I think the internal cores of the STi versions are a lot better. I was also looking at getting an APS, MRT etc. replacement, but after detailed discussions with some experts and talking to Forge Motorsport, they all recommended the STiV or P1 intercooler as being one of the best TMIC money can buy.
Even so, I had to go to Haywood&Scott to make me up a unique BOV adapter to suit as the Idle speed control is directly in the way of the new BOV outlet. Not an easy job but well worth the hassle.

Jacko.

Re: Radtek
They are in Cannock Staffs. 01543 572229.
They may have test results themselves, I only had a quick word with their main man as he was dashing off.
The unit was a bolt in with no mods required
