MY 06 Spec C Twin Scroll Exhaust - Advice Please
I am waiting for a JDM Spec C, due to arrive in early Dec, and plan to replace the stock exhaust/cats with a stainless 3'' straight through decatted system and then ECUTEK remap.
I am aware that Miltek, Janspeed (RCM) and Hayward & Scott all produce full twin scroll systems priced between £650-900 including VAT etc. the Miltek system seems to be the most popular and get the best reviews for performance, sound, build quality & price.
Also some of the Japanese makers (Apexi, Fujitsubo) now seem to be more readily available in UK from selected importers at approximately the same price range.
The car currently has the STI 'sports' 110mm tipped back box, presumably with 2.5'' pipework. Presumably this is too restrictive, or is it worth retaining in order to save some cash?
Very grateful for any informed comment from members running recent model hawk eye Spec C's to assist in choosing the best system/combination to fit! Many thanks

Thanks for the comments guys. How do these 2 compare when fitted? Is anyone running one of the decat japanese turbo back systems (other than Zerosports which is a little too high priced)? Appreciate any advice from Spec C owners running non-standard exhausts. Cheers

Thanks for your comments; much appreciated. I will have to go away and do some more research. At the moment the Milltec system seems to be the best twin scroll option for performance & price.

Just a little hint, for your car, ask to see the model report if its built after dec 31st 05, they changed and only one place in the country holds em, and seeing that your asking about exhausts, you may not be getting it from there.
Down side is that if the documentation isnt correct, your car isnt road legal and can be turned into a small piece of cubed metal.
Just letting you know so you can check up before hand (needs to be a euro 4 model report if after 31st dec 05).

Many thanks for the tip Tony; much appreciated.
I was aware of the model report issue with the 06/07 Spec C (and the sole supplier with the answers).
Hopefully I am 'in the clear' as mine is definitely a 05/06 model, (applied model code GDBF4FH), although registered in Japan in Jan 06.
However, I will double check this to avoid the horrible metal cube scenario.
