I've recently had my clutch replaced (nothing as extreme as yours, just a slightly upreated exedy clutch)) and was told a couple of hundred miles before full bore launches but for everyday driving not to worry about running it in.

The guidelines for running in an exedy twin are 500 2k rev pull aways. Not launches mind. Pulling away in 2nd gear helps run it in too.

It is the exact same as driving on the road in as much as it's just as easy to frag a friction plate.

It all depends on how much torque your car is putting out.

Moneys: That's how they are.
Gentle road driving for 250 miles is the way I bedded my AP Organic 3 years ago. It has done 140+ drag starts on racing tyres (real ones) since, with no smells and no slip and drives like a stocker today.

RR's do not involve any clutch slipping so will be fine imho after a few road miles. My AP ended up on the RR 150 miles after fitting and transmitted 370 ish bhp/340 lbft at the time.

It could smooth out, but paddles are not designed/intended for traffic but for 'racing'.
I had one in my 911 hillclmb road car and the judders, screeches, and the WEAR never went away.

Changed back to a stock 911 organic and went faster, smoother and lasted 3 times longer at least.

Has your paddle friction plate cussion springs inside rather like a normal clutch does (6 or 4 coil springs around the splined hub)?

If it hasn't then i think you are doomed. My 911 one did have cussion springs.
Graham.

Yep. A tube of locktite from Halfords would be good to put on the flywheel bolts when you change the 'wheel'.

Sprung centre but terrible in a road car.

That AP will not dissapoint you. Take a good look at the flywheel surface with a good straight edge though as the paddles rip into cast steel. You may need to get the wheel face skimmed. Any good machine shop can do that for a few $$
