Your options are:

5 speeder can keep the dccd and have ppg gearset fitted.
The 5 speeder dccd section cannot fit the 6 speeder.
A 6 speeder dccd box from Welcome to the API website but i think the 5 speed dccd ecu will not control the 6 speed dccd.

David at API can advise you accuratly.

Im led to believe otherwise, fit a 6 speed with DCCD and it will work like the DCCD you have now, ie thumb wheel.

I've just had my type r box rebuilt using a straight cut ppg gearset and kept the dccd centre diff.

Now I have something that loud AND scary.

They aint loud, wait till you swap the DCCD for a Modena centre with straight cut drop gears, now thats loud!

Steven

ps according to Zen a 6 Speed DCCD works with the 5 speed controller, plug and play.

I have a DCCD 6 speed box in my MY95 STi RA, the controller works fine, no issues.

If you go the 6 speed route you'll need a 3.9 rear diff to match, as well as a 6 speed prop (or a classic auto prop)
