Default car shakes very very bad

my mate has got a classic sti think is is a 96 model we hit some silly speeds today (private land) and it has developed a very bad shake now the car really really wobbles steering wheel /gearstick /clutch pedal it is too much for a wheel weight problem do you think it could be the prop bearing ????????
