Default Compatibility??

Im just about to get a new clutch and lightweight flywheel for an MY99 UK Turbo, but thinking about future mods. Will the clutch and flywheel fit on an EJ257 block?? And also if I were to upgrade to a 6 speed box will there be any problems??
Also the kit im thinking of buying is a twin plate one, so will I have to buy a reverse actuation kit??

the 6speed allows a larger flywheel and therefore clutch, however the five speed clutch and flywheel fit.. the ej257 block will make no difference.

you would have to check with who you get the clutch from but yes I believe you need the reverse actuation kit.

Thanks, so the flywheel bolts to crank no problem and changing the box isnt an issue, but I can use a bigger diameter one if I want to if I choose the 6 speed?? Cheers for that, i'll get it ordered.

not actually sure if there is a larger diameter twin plate clutch thinking aobut it.. standard 6speed flywheel is larger I believe.

the larger 6speed one won't fit the 5speed.

The flywheels are the same size diameter, its the actual clutch plate that is larger, and is mounted to the flwheel differently, straight swap if you go to a six speed from a five speed.
