Question

Right! I've now got my PS2 (having spent £89 more than necessary - Cheers SONY!), and I've invested a tenner in an i-Link cable.

Now I know GT3 ( ) works with the i-Link, and I'll be trying that shortly. But Quake III isn't compatible

Anyone have experience of a PS2 vs PS2 GT3 game?

Who knows what other games are i-Link compatible?

Cheers,
Squizz.

AFAIK, GT3 is the only I-link game. That said - it is brilliant. More addictive than muppeting

(well not quite, but getting there)

Question

Anyone found somewhere where you can buy an i-Link hub from?

It's really a firewire thing - but the people at PC world just looked at me funny when I asked for one (oh what a surpise...)

Time Crisis II is i-Link compatible, and World Rally Championship may be according to some articles I've read.

TCII is a bit of a laugh and well worth a purchase if you ae playing with some mates

I gave the whole of yesterday and will most likely donate most of the Sabath to i-Link GT3.

You can get a hub from somewhere like http://www.macwarehouse.co.uk/ search for firewire hub, about £50 should do it. The cables are not the same as for a direct link.

Only one thing is disapointing - you can't use cars in your own garage, only cars won in Arcade mode, but it is the ****.

Also, no replay. Would have been a nice touch.

Let's get this straight...

i-Link mode only allows Arcade mode cars, and it doesn't give a replay?

Sounds like I wasted my money!

It was the same with the PS1 - Nobody bothered with the link facility after a while.

Shame.

Correct.

But there are a lot of cars in Arcade mode, just make sure you complete the series and have all licences. I loaded my memory card onto my friends station so that we could both use the same cars.

For the replay you can get a third station and watch live or turn on your video for a through the window type affair.

I was bored of two player by last night.

Thanks Jack.

This replay thing, is that just another PS2 daisy chained with a PS2->PS2 i-Link, or does it require a Hub and associated cabling?

Cheers,
Squizz.

Oh yeah...Can you have four players with two PS2's i-Linked. (ie. i-Link Battle in two-player mode?)

One playstation per driver or live replay. Anything more than 2 stations requires a hub which AFAIK means different cables, one end bigger than the other Mac style.
