trying to find out what make exhaust i have on my wrx. where will i find the manufactureres name stamped on it, looked but cannot see a name in any obvious place??

Most don't have a name stamped on them, post up a picture and i'm sure someone on here will be able to tell you

Thats looks like a 5Zigen Fireball,

Is it really loud? or has it got a bung in, it looks like a weld on the side of the back box pipe.

Have you got a shot of the connection of the centre to down pipe, most 5Zigen with a steal pipe have a section about 6" long that tapper down from 3" to 2.5/8".

If it is a 5Zigen it's very rare as you can only get the miricle fireball now (All Stainless steal) Simb2 has one on his type r and it sounds awesome

I've got a 5Zigen Broder 304, Mild steal centre, and pipe to the back box and a massive stainless steal back box an dit's by far the loudest exhaust I've heard, much louder than a blitz

yes it has a bung in it. without the bung it really is too loud for me, i have never heard an exhaust soo loud. condition wise it seems good, just needs a bit of a clean again, it comes up very nice after a scrub.

so from what your saying it's not a bad system??

Yes it's very good, 5Zigen are really big in Japan but you hardly see them over here, your exhaust is very rare. I've only ever seen 3 Fireball's on cars in 4 years, one is on a car down this way, SIMB2 has one on his car. The fireball is nealry as rare as mine, I've only ever seen 1 other and it took me 18 months to find. It's worth about £350-400. The one on Simb's car cost the guy nearly £800 and he had to bring it from japan himself.

You can get the miricle fireball for about £300-350 from jap performance parts but it's not as loud.

I don't use the bung but I have insulated my boot, with 1" celetex soundproofing board and 3/4" Ply with dynomat, it's still very loud but mine isn't an everyday car

so i could maybe offer to swap with someone for a quieter exhaust. what should i be looking for thats quieter but rumbles nicely.

il swap it for my scoobybits backbox. thats not mahoosivelty loud, and isnt very old.

surely 5zigen have a stamp on the tail. Mine did on my old mitsi cyborg
