swarf on magnet of sump plug

Err - I`m a bit confused here - the engine oil sump plug is not magnetic. I`ve machined three to take oil temp. senders, and have a spare and none have been magnetic. Didearly cars have these? The gearbox one has a magnet and it`s normal to have a bit of swarf on this, especially if you are draining the original oil.

just changed my oil and noticed a small amount of metal swarf on the magnet of the slump plug it that normal nd do u guys get the same .

A very small amount of swarf is acceptable, as the plug is designed to trap metal ie by magnetism to stop it floating around in suspension to damage other parts of the engine,bits should be v small.oil filter does similar job.
