6 SPEED SWAP ON CLASSIC, WHAT ABOUT DRIVESHAFTS?
I will start the swap next week. I wonder if the front drive shafts of my 1999 Sti, will be ok with the gearbox. I want to order a pair of uprated driveshafts but dont know which ones.

As a general rule of thumb, a euro spec six speed is a straight swap onto a euro spec classic with no need to buy a new rear diff or drive shafts.
The problems start when you want to put a eurospec box onto a jap spec car or vice versa. The problem being with the rear diff as Final dive ratio's have to pair up. I would say that if you're going to be putting a eurospec box into a Jap spec STI you will also need a jap spec rear diff.
Don't forget you'll need a shorter propshaft too. I'd source one from an auto classic as thats what I did.
I have done the swap myself but it was a UK box onto a UK car so all that was needed was the Box itself, the propshaft and the gear linkage.

The gearbox is from Japanese spec car and my car is also Japanese spec sti5.
I have the rear diff and drive shafts from Spec-C, the question is for the front drive shafts, shall I use the Sti5 drive shafts or the 2003 Spec-C ones?
