What flywheel to get?
Will be having my freshly PPG built box put in my car in the next couple of weeks.
Already have a reasonably new Exedy clutch in, but standard flywheel at the mo. Now i had a lightened one before and liked it, so will be going back down that road.
Any sudgestions as to what one to get and how light?
I have heard you can go to light and ruin the drive of the car.
02 WRX

I'm running a 5.5KG Roger Clark Flywheel .......I stalled it quite a few times in the first few days but have now got used to it. LOL
Personally I'd go for a replacement / swap bugeye skimmed down a few Kg's, usually cost about £100

Do you all think this is REALLY worth it?
I resisted this move this time when the box was out, but the flywheel effect is very useful as stock!
API do a lightened stock 'wheel down to 5Kg ish.

The time i did notice was when i had a lightened flywheel and clutch changed.
I had an origional flywheel put back in due to me thinking i wqas selling the car at the time so wasnt worth paying the extra.
Deffo noticed the engine was less willing to rev.

Be careful with the Bug-eye flywheels (assuming that as it's an MY02 that's what it will be) as they are 'dual mass' flywheels, so difficult to machine to remove weight.
I ordered one from a very respected organisation on here for GBP200, and there was almost a negligable weight difference between the 'lightened' version and the stock one, so I re-used the stock and returned the 'lightened' one - although the shipping costs set me back a bit!
I wish I had tried a really light one, but I needed the car back on the road!
For reference the stock flywheel is around 11Kg's and the 'lightened' one was around 10Kg's
